You're coming to Paris. We're so glad!
There is nothing we love more than people we love coming to a city we adore, Paris.
Paris can be overwhelming — reservations are always advised, attractions sell out fast, the arrondissements aren't linear, transportation may take 5 minutes one day but 40 minutes on another, and restaurants and shopkeepers lack the American appreciation for efficiency.
Everything here has been tried, loved (or firmly rejected), and curated with one thing in mind: that you leave feeling like you've seen the real Paris — not the postcard version, but the one we live in every day. Three sections can help you create the trip of your dreams:
1ème: Paris Guide — curated to focus on joyful experiences.
2ème: Paris Trip Planner — takes your wishes, hopes, and ideas to create a dynamic day-by-day schedule.
3ème: Maison Jude — for those staying at our apartment, WiFi login and everything to make yourself at home.

A few things we tell everyone, no matter when they're visiting or what they're here for.
✦ Paris-Wide Essentials
The things we wish someone had told us first.
🚖
Getting from CDG
We use WelcomePickups — fixed price, English-speaking drivers. RER B gets you to central Paris in ~35 min. Taxi/Uber €50–80 is the move with luggage or more than two people.
🗼
Eiffel Tower — if it's your first time
Go to the top. Book tickets weeks ahead — they disappear. The view at dusk is worth every minute.
⚠️ Late-night slots aren't ideal for everyone — check before committing.
🎨
For museums, our pick is L'Orangerie
The Water Lilies rooms are genuinely moving. The Marmottan Monet is our other favourite — better collection, far fewer people.
📚
Visit an outdoor market near you
Every arrondissement has one. Ours is Marché Grenelle — we walk there across the Seine and metro back with our haul.
🌅
June evenings are everything
Sunset is around 10pm. Stay out. Eat late. Sit on a terrasse and do nothing. The whole city slows down in the best possible way.

A candid note, as friends: We skip Chez Tony (unpleasant ownership) and Le Bistrot des Vignes (kind owner, very meh food). Life is too short for bad Paris meals.
